It's been 2 weeks since the HT, is there supposed to be redness on the recipient area?

Redness can still be apparent after 3, 4 -8+ weeks on some patients so do not be too concerned at the 2 week stage as it is very common to still have redness. There are a number of posts on products to help with healing witch hazel being one of them.

The redness of the recipient area is totally normal, and for some people, the most problematic/annoying part of the whole process, as it can be difficult to conceal if it's being stubborn and doesn't wanna go away. As Dr. Alexander said, it can last for a couple weeks or a couple months. It varies person to person.

Spex made a fantastic post providing various tips on how to minimize the redness. I suggest you check it out and see if that helps guide you in the right direction.

I've attached the link to his post here.

Best of luck!

Redness in the recipient is normal, you will see it dissipate. You may even have pinkness for up to three to six months. Remember to stay out of the sun and avoid sunburn.

My opinions are my own. I am one representative of MyWHTC Clinic's European branch.
