bhghair
I am 18 years old and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if my hairline is receding or just maturing. Bill - Seemiller
Bhghair, Thank you for posting. Honestly, it is difficult to tell from pictures. It could be either or. But you are still young. You are 18 years old. Based on what I see, it does appear that there is something in the temple areas so that could be a sign of male pattern baldness. On the other hand, a maturing hairline does sometimes appear like the beginning of genetic hair loss so it's hard to tell. You may want to consult a hair restoration specialist to see what they think when evaluating your hair and scalp under magnification. They might be able to see signs of thinning that you cannot see with the naked eye in the mirror or in pictures. Alternatively, they might not see any signs of thinning which i'm sure you would see as a good thing. Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member MrGio-WHTCClinic Posted April 21, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted April 21, 2016 At the moment, your hair loss on the hairline is minimal. It may be a good idea to get some consultations and document the hair loss with consistent photos. You will have more peace of mind by pursuing a proper diagnosis. My opinions are my own. I am one representative of MyWHTC Clinic's European branch. Consultation Dates & Cities for Dr. Patrick Mwamba London, United Kingdom - Available (Sat.) Senior Member YouOnlyLiveOnce Posted April 21, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted April 21, 2016 If you have a history of hairloss in your family, there might be some cause for concern and should be monitored over the years. If it seems to get worse, get on meds. Right now it fine and I'd forget about it
