Senior Member MrGio-WHTCClinic Posted March 24, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted March 24, 2016 Massage the scalp gently with your fingers without making the skin bleed. Placement looks normal. My opinions are my own. I am one representative of MyWHTC Clinic's European branch. Consultation Dates & Cities for Dr. Patrick Mwamba London, United Kingdom - Available (Sat.) Senior Member YouOnlyLiveOnce Posted March 25, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted March 25, 2016 Those are normal. It's tissue that's connected the hair shaft that's becomes more obvious as the hair begins to grow before it sheds. It's usually most evident after a shower because it absorbs water and expands ( it has a will have soft squish texture before it hardens again). I wouldn't massage though, its not causing any harm ,so I'd follow your doctors post-op care and treat it like the scabs
Senior Member gillenator Posted March 25, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted March 25, 2016 Those are the crusts which are dead graft tissue from the tips of the grafts that are above the surface of the scalp. Usually after 10-12 days, your doctor will want their patients to begin gently removing them in the shower and typically the graft hair will come off with the crusts. 5 days post-op is still too early to remove them however. Perfectly normal. Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic. My opinions are not medical advice, but are my own views which you read at your own risk.
