Senior Member Rashid36 Posted February 11, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted February 11, 2016 Little is known about the chemical composition, adsorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of inks. Little information is available on short-term and long- term safety of the pigments, their carcinogenic potential, how they affect the cells that take up the inks, and how the body responds to the interaction of ultraviolet light with the inks. We do know that some tattoos fade or turn color when they are exposed to light. Research has also shown that some pigments migrate from the tattoo site to the body’s lymph nodes. The long-term health significance of this is unclear. - lymphatic cancer is a result of ink build up in body... - Ink does not just disappear... - tattoo causes lymphadenopathy... http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm048919.htm
Senior Member Rashid36 Posted February 25, 2016 Author Senior Member Share Posted February 25, 2016 Smp maybe safe, Tattoos in other parts of the body have been made for many years without problems. They use semi-permanet tattoos in the scalp (less deeper) because the tattoo color tends to change (usually to blue) and that is important when you want to imitate the hair.
