Regular Member hairlossguy222 Posted August 11, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted August 11, 2009 Hey all, Just a quick question. Is generic Keto 2% just as good as the name brand Nizoral 2%? I remember my old dermatologist insisted I got the brand name Nizoral because he believed it worked better. I moved and now have a new dermatologist and I got a refill and it is now a generic Keto2%......can I get some verification. Thank you!! Senior Member aska Posted August 12, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 12, 2009 Should be the same, but i'm always on the brands, it's safer and not that expensive.
Senior Member splitting hairs Posted August 12, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 12, 2009 Ketoconaxole 2% is identical to Nizoral in that it contains the same active ingredient in the same concentration. The only thing that may differ is some of the other excipients (non-active) ingredients. Tbh, it shouldn't make any difference at all, unless you are allergic to an excipient in the generic product that is not in Nizoral. The simple answer is : YES they are the same. _________________________________________________ Propecia since July 2008 2201 Grafts with Dr Lorenzo on 19.10.22 - See my write up here:
