Does Propecia reverse recently shed hairs that exhibit miniaturization?

Hi all,

Here's my question: If we have recently shed a lot of hair and THEN begin Propecia, can Propecia eventually reverse the miniaturization of those recently shed hairs?

There is no clear answer to this because it works different for different people

or doesn't work at all. It did turn some of my vellus hairs in my crown into

terminal hairs but did nothing for my miniaturization in my

hairline or temples.

so lets say it halts hair loss in a given area: does this 'halting' effect mean that if we have a miniaturized hair, it will remain miniaturized but will not die off so long as we're on fin?

Sometimes the hair thickens and sometimes not. If it's too far gone it won't

do anything much. People tend to get the best results from a Propecia

Rogaine combo. It takes about a year to tell if it's working for you.

I did get side effects from starting propecia. I cut back the dosing take it

every other day and side effects have gone away. I would talk to your

regular doctor before taking it. Dr Bernstein who is recommended on here

has a very education website and shows examples of what the drugs can

do.
