Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted September 6, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted September 6, 2015 It's always best to check with your hair transplant surgeon but two weeks is generally considered safe. Dr Blake Bloxham
Wokeup, Dave is spot on; make sure to ask your clinic. This way you're following their specific post-operative instructions "to a T." The two week timeline he mentioned above is a pretty good rule of thumb as well. We generally tell people to stop roughly a week before and resume a week after. This two week window helps avoid any unnecessary bleeding or blood pressure issues during surgery, and any sort of additional scalp irritation or excessive manipulation of the new grafts. But, it's generally a short enough period to avoid a shed from stopping the medication. Grow well! Dr. Blake Bloxham is recommended by the Hair Transplant Network.
