Santeprog
When will be the right time to have hair in plants, because as I see it, if your baldness is not completed and only in the first stages it will be useless to go for in plants as the hair will continue to fall out and you will be force to go back for second and 3rd treatments! Is it best to keep using hair growth products till it does not work anymore?

Senior Member Maxxy Posted February 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 24, 2009 Thanks for the ad Santeprog, you won't get away with sneaking them in on this forum :-P
Senior Member mmhce Posted February 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 24, 2009 Santeprog, Welcome to our community You've got it exactly right!. You have to wait until your intial rapid hairloss subsides (provided your hairloss is MPB). This can take a few years. If you approach an ethical surgeon at this point in time you will be rejected as an unsuitable candidate. If your hairloss is due to MPB you have to initiate medication intervention with finasteride and minoxidil, ever vigilant for side effects, and monitor the response of the scalp hair, (hopefully positive). Hope this helps. take care...

Senior Member Maxxy Posted February 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 24, 2009 Mmhce, I may be wrong but it seems like an ad to me, the post would lose nothing by removing the link as it serves no purpose.
Senior Member latinlotus Posted February 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 24, 2009 Is it best to keep using hair growth products till it does not work anymore? I did not see the link but, who cares. There is only one proven hair growth product, and it is Propecia. ******** I am not a doctor. The opinions and comments are of my own. Senior Member AMR1 Posted February 25, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 25, 2009 hmmm advertising is not allowed even if you are recommending a product to a fellow hair loss member? Senior Member Maxxy Posted February 25, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 25, 2009 Ammars27, This wasn't a personal recommendation, the question/statements seemed to lead to the conclusion that it would be better to use hair growth products than have a transplant, until you are in the very high Norwood numbers. (which I'm not disputing - everyone to their own). At the bottom of the post there was a link to some crappy pills, I forget the name now but trust me - they were a scam. There was no comments about the pills just the link that provided absolutely no benefit to the post and seemed to be an ad, to me atleast. latinlotus, I don't care about people advertising it's nothing to do with me. What annoys me is the fact they are peddling crap unproved products. You, me and most the people on this site know the only proven products on the market today are Minoxidil or Finasteride based, but what about the new members who are new to the forum and don't know that? They see an ad for these scam pills on a respected website like this and buy into it? We've all been there... read some flashy site promising the world and think maybe this is it, the fact that the ad is on a respected forum like this would only go to back up such products. Senior Member latinlotus Posted February 25, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 25, 2009 Maxxy: I completely agree with you.
