Recommended Posts

when is it alright to sleep on my grafts. I have been sleeping slightly elevated and on my back for 6 nights now. Im getting fairly tired of it. I would DIE to sleep on my side, but im nervous bc i have grafts on my temples..and if i lay I them I fear i may dislodge them. when is it ok to sleep on them?!

This basically comes down to how long it takes for the graft to become fully secure.

In the past I've read various opinions on this ranging from 2 to 14 days and a couple even beyond this. The only study I have ever came across regarding this found that it took 9 days for the grafts to become fully secure.

Have you considered using a travel pillow? This may help avoid any rubbing of the grafts while you're sleeping.
