Chennai Clinic Hair Transplant

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Newbie here, my very first post. Brief history about my hairless journey.

I'm Prem Anand, from Chennai, India. 30 years Old. Hereditary hairloss victim. Hairloss started in my early 20's. Good 10 years later I lost the density, volume and my hair is thining, so much so that my scalp is visible under the Sun. However i would consider myself norward II, still holding on to dear hair with the help of Minox. Tried fin but had to stop due to sides (lost taste buds lol).

I have decided to take plunge into the dark world of HT :D. What surprises me is that, Chennai being a favourite destination of medical tourists, but not even single Doc from chennai recommended here . My research points to Radha, Madhu and Bhatia but all there are not from Chennai. I understand Madhu has opened a clinic in Chennai, but i think he wont be available @ chennai clinic, I can't go under the knife trusting his assistants.

Options before me are, Travel to Vizag or Hydrabad based on who i choose OR you guys suggest me a good doctor in Chennai, if any. Thanks.

This is me ... 6 Years ago 2009

Attached most recent pic as well, but don't let the camera fool you... Camera do lie when taken from a long distance, do not have a proper pic of my head, to show the actual extent of the hair loss. Will post once I dust off my camera. Thanks for reading, have a great day.

Best Regards,

B. Prem Anand.

Unfortunately, the Hair Transplant Network doesn't doesn't currently recommend any surgeons in Chennai. That is not to say that there isn't anyone doing good work there but we have not prescreened any at this time and, therefore, can't recommend anyone.

Here is a link to all the hair transplant surgeons we recommend throughout India.

I myself made the trip all the way from the US to India for my last hair transplant. Though India is very large country, I'd still consider these excellent doctors to be your backyard, relatively speaking.

Best of luck with your search!

Which procedure are you most interested for FUT or FUE?

If you are not sure kindly read some threads in this website about FUT vs FUE!

For FUT- Dr.Radha is the only good doctor from India

For FUE- Dr.Bhatti is great.

Have an online consultation with both these doctor and then decide.

Hello Premanand1984

I agree with Johnboy71 and highly recommend Dr Bhatti in Chandigarh.

Check his website, pictures, cost: darlingbudsindia.com

Just ask for an online consultation or send an email, all your questions will be answered.

You have nothing to lose by asking.

There are many airlines flying to Chandigarh.

I had FUE 1524 grafts with DR Bhatti. Feel free to ask any questions.

hi premandand1984,

ive had a look at your photos, before jumping into the world HT have you decided to take meds or foams etc? I ask this because your hair loss seems to be quite minimal, and if you got on to now you may avoid a HT for several years. but if you are keen Dr Bhatti is my recommendation, take care all the best

June 2013 - 3000 FUE Dr Bhatti

Oct 2013 - 1000 FUE Dr Bhatti

Oct 2015 - 785 FUE Dr Bhatti

Hello,

welcome to the forum. If you are already in India I would recommend going to dr Bhatti !

He really is a excellent ht Dr. Just check out the many results on this forum.

Thanks for the reply, I did check this website and had a chat session with his "Live support" professional, but his quotes are way over my budget. He charges Rs 99 INR per graft which is almost double the rate, When compared to other popular surgeons. I am not denying that he is providing good result, unfortunately I can not afford him.

David,

Thanks for the link, but don't get me wrong for saying this, You guys travel to India to save money $$$, there will be doctors in your own country doing a better job than their counterparts in India but they cost a fortune (no offence please). BTW Is there any reason why none of the Doctors in Chennai are getting the accolades, surely doctors here are noteworthy. If not all, at least a few. Maybe they didn't use this medium to advertise their skills.

Thanks for the suggestion Rawkerbi. Yes, I do know the pro and cons of FUT & FUE. Though I would like to opt for FUE, the money quoted for FUE is pushes me to choose FUT . I haven't checked with Radha yet, will do and keep you guys posted.

Sethticles, I'm on "Minox" for the most part of the last 10 years. Actually I tried the Big 3 good 7~8 years ago but had to stop Fin due to sides. If things do not go according to plan, I might give a try with Fin again to see how I react this time around. Thanks.

Money is certainly an important factor for most of us. However, money is not the most important factor to consider and most definitely not the most important factor in my choosing of Dr. Bhatti.

What you have to understand is that I had two strip procedures totaling more than 4,000 grafts already. Donor hair is a limited resource. You can be sure that I would not have risked my precious remaining donor supply by going to a physicain that I considered to be doing second rate work.

The fact is that when you are choosing from among the best, you can expect the best results regardless of the cost of the procedure.

Hi premanand1984,

Both David and Sethicles are right.

For most people cost is a problem, but maybe you can save on other things for a few months before taking the plunge.

In the mean time, consider medication and continue the Minoxidill.

All the best.
