Washington, DC Recommendations?

Hi all,

 

I am looking for a good FUE hair transplant doctor in the Washington, DC metro area.

 

Has anyone had any experience with Dr. Terrence Keaney of Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery, Dermatology Specialists, Washington DC, Laser Surgery. They use the ARTAS Robotic Transplant, has anyone had surgeries with that instrument?

 

I am considering him because a very good plastic surgeon I know personally referred me to the Wash Institute. He knows that the head of this institute, Dr. Tina Alster, is a highly regarded dermatologist, but does not have firsthand knowledge of their HT skills.

 

I did searches for Dr. Keaney on the forums on this website, but didn’t find anything. I also searched for him in google but didn’t find any HT reviews.

 

Apart from Dr. Keaney, can anyone recommend other FUE HT surgeons in the DC metro area?

The only doctor I'd consider in the DC area is Coalition member Dr. Lindsey. I've had three small FUE procedures with him. At the very least, I'd strongly suggest that you reach out and book a consultation with Dr. Lindsey AND with the individuals you've already identified. Ask a lot of questions and don't rush into anything. Do your homework and take your time.

 

As for the ARTAS, it is just a machine. Be careful about clinics that advertise the tools they use. That's not necessarily a bad sign, but you need to keep your focus on the clinic's results and their philosophy. Don't confuse marketing with real world results. Ask to see pictures of patients or, better yet, meet other patients in person or even sit in on a brief FUE session. Don't take any of this lightly.

go a little south and check out Vorhies. he does excellent FUE work and is probably the cheapest FUE doctor in the states producing good results on a constant basis.

 

steer clear from Artas. and forget those that Dabble in FUE and have a plastic surgery clinic. that will be the worst mistake u ever make in ur life! anyone who practices anything other then FUE u need to steer clear from.

 

never even heard of who ur referring to. don't be a fool! find a doctor that SPECIALIZES in FUE and FUE only!

I just had a second FUT last week with Dr. James Vogel in Owings Mills (Baltimore Area) and have had excellent results. Fantastic staff as well. Very pleased.

I also dont see alot in this forum about DC or Maryland doctors. Can we get feedback about Dr Lindsey and Dr Vogel or others in the DC/Maryland area? It would be great to get feedback from HT patients of DC/Maryland doctors.

 

I been researching for almost a year and would prefer to stay local for my HT but also want the best doctor.
