Can Nizoral make your hair loss worse?

sheraz104,

Unfortunately, there is no clear answer to that question. If you search Nizoral on our forum you will likely find some guys claiming that it caused irreversible shedding and other complications while others have had no side effects at all.

I use 1% twice weekly. I truly have no idea if it's benefited me in terms of hair growth but I've always liked the way it makes my hair feel.

I'm convinced it made mine worse. Initially it made my hair huge in volume and feel awesome, but then shedding seemed to be the only effect.

Seems like it's different for everyone though, probably worth a try just don't over use it.

2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now.

Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018.

Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week.
