Senior Member Spursman Posted December 27, 2004 Senior Member Share Posted December 27, 2004 Hi, i am 22 and loosing my hair, i have been reading these forums for a few months which is very helpful. I understand that the best thing to do first up is get on Propecia. I have also heard about the side effects of using this. The one i am most worried about is the loss of libido. In the past i have had problems with loss of confidence with sex and if i go on these drugs i don't want it to ruin my sex life. I want to go to New York and get HT done but i don't know what i would need to do first. I was thinking of booking a consultation to see one of the Dr and getting his advice. What would people on here suggest?

Senior Member Robert_ Posted December 27, 2004 Senior Member Share Posted December 27, 2004 Spursman, If you are getting a consultation soon (within the next couple of months or less), why not just wait until the consultation to get the advise of the hair restoration specialist? Your family practitioner may not be as familiar with hair loss issues, Finasteride side effects, and other issues as a hair restoration specialist that deals with this issue on a more daily basis. If it is any longer than that, I would go ahead and talk to your family doctor or even a dermatologist to assess your situation and get a prescription. The medication is still your best bet. Minoxidil will also be a great asset for you. -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog
