Senior Member zyzz Posted December 27, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted December 27, 2014 After a hair transplant procedure, are all recipient hairs visible before they fall off after the first month? Or are there usually a percentage of grafts that doesn't have hair follicles extending past the scalp until a few months? If they are all visible, should a patient be able to tell what their results will look like after a year?
Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted December 27, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted December 27, 2014 Zyzz, In theory, the grafts should all be visible after the procedure. However, they may be short and difficult to visualize. They may also shed quickly. The post-operative appearance may give you some idea of what the results could look like, but it won't be overly accurate. The final result will look different.
