Question about hair topical side effects (Minox, Azelaic Acid, MPG)

I have taken propecia before and got sides, I didn't like it and stopped within 2 months. So I've started looking at topical DHT blockers to use on the scalp and avoid any sides.

 

However I was thinking if Minoxidil can cause side effects whilst applying to the scalp wouldn't the same apply to DHT blockers such as Azelaic Acid and MPG? They would also I presume enter the bloodstream and cause the same sides I had with propecia? Obviously AA and MPG aren't the same as propecia but the last thing I want to do have those same sides again. It took me a while to recover and thankfully my sex drive is back to normal, perhaps better than before because I cleaned my diet and exercise regularly.

 

I know the only way to found out is try it out I suppose, but just wanted people's experiences, thoughts & opinion on this before I start splashing out the cash for these products.
