CMEPCMEP
I am scheduled with Dr. Feller for my initial consultation in a couple of weeks. This would be my first, I'm still a virgin. If I qualify, I have intentions of pursuing FUE. I am willing to forfeit one FUT mega session for two FUE. For me, it comes down to the scar. But less cosmetically, I don't buzz, I have length. It's more so the slim possibility of permanent pulling or discomfort. Over the course of viewing forums for about two years, I did see a couple of remote cases. I know it's few and far between and certainly depends on the doctor. However, I did have an issue with a scar and pulling when I was young. I know it's unrelated to this, but that fear does exist for me. I guess I'm spooked. Could anyone come forward with a case that supports this? Let's say nine months post op or more. Is anyone living with permanent discomfort? (If this thread has already been addressed, please re-direct me. Additionally, I wanted to thank everyone on the forums for educating me over the last two years. I certainly wouldn't be this far along without your help ??“ invaluable information.) Senior Member Sparky Posted April 6, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 6, 2010 I cant find a single fue mark let alone feel them and I'm less than 5 months post op. Can you get 2,500 or more total? Or do you start running out?
Senior Member Sparky Posted April 6, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 6, 2010 I know someone who has restored his entire head from NW6 to NW1 with just fue. He had 7000 taken from his head and about 1000 from his beard and chest, and I cant find any fue marks on his head. My scar doesnt hurt, but I am aware of it, not always though, it comes and goes. In the end, for me it'll all depend on whether Dr. Feller considers me a viable candidate or not. I'll be optimistic.
CMEPCMEP
Thanks Spex! I was hoping to hear from you! I'm totally not concerned about Dr. Feller's skill level either way. He has 100% of my confidence. But if I do not qualify for FUE and have to make a decision to go strip, I wanted to explore some depth. The good thing is, not many people are responding to this thread!
Senior Member Sparky Posted April 6, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 6, 2010 Spex is right, my scar did come from a Demon that just happened to perform hair transplants, however, I would still recommend fue anyday over strip. Senior Member Megatron Posted April 8, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 8, 2010 I stopped noticing my strip scar after about 1 month. Even if I press on it now I can hardly notice anything and I'm not even 2 months. That said, I can't yet speak to how it will eventually look visually.
