Regular Member fifty Posted May 31, 2004 Regular Member Share Posted May 31, 2004 I was told to avoid exposing the recipien area to the sun 6 months after my hair transplant. I'm going to the beach this summer and don't want to wear a hat *ALL* the time. Is it ok if I just use some high-spf spray sunscreen on the recipient area and have my head uncovered at times? Guest
YOu need to wait about 2 weeks post-op before going anywhere near your receipeint area with sun screen. After 2 weeks, spray away. But you should stay out of the sun for at least 3 months post-op.
