Senior Member Mickey85 Posted June 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 The difference in lighting is really too drastic to make a proper assessment of the change in my honest opinion... Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted June 2, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 No doubt the lighting is darker in the second set of photos- but I believe the general idea of hair architecture is present. Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted June 2, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 Here are the same photos brightened, as well as a separate set of after photos where his hair is not quite as long. Also included is the before set of photos. Thanks! Dr. Mike Vories is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network
Senior Member delancey Posted June 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 Perhaps these are good photos to illustrate to future Norwood 6 patients what they can expect from a HT surgery. Having done tons of research over the last year, I believe this is a very honest photo album of a Norwood 6 patient who has average (or below average?) hair characteristics. Sure, there will always be better results, however, most of these patients have excellent donor characteristics. This guy's hair loss is identical to mine. It's not a bad result; I think it's just a realistic result. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. How large is the total bald area (Bofore surgery)? Thanks for sharing! PS. Please consider taking videos of your patient results (that way we can see the result from all angles). This makes it realistic and very beneficial for anyone who may consider hair transplant surgery. I am not a medical professional and my words should not be taken as medical advice. Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted June 2, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 2, 2014 Thanks for the comments. What I like about this case is the effect it has had on the patient. Just in our brief follow-up visits you can tell he has become much more outgoing and positive. I love those cases!
