That said, there are a number of great surgeons within driving distance of you. NYC: True & Dorin, Bernstein, Carlos Wesley Long Island: Feller Extending the radius a bit, there's also Dr. Beehner 2 hours north of NYC, as well as Dr. Lindsey in the DC area. However, you almost never see his name mentioned on the boards; and if you look at his page on here, you'll find very little other than photos he's posted himself. If it were me, I'd forget about the distance and schedule some consults with the highly known doctors within a few hours of you. If you're set on staying within a short distance, you clearly have more research to do. Getting a HT isnt like purchasing a TV--forget about convenience and go for a doctor with a history of great results that are documented on these boards.
