Regular Member TBH Posted August 1, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted August 1, 2013 I saw a surgeon that said they can fill in the front of my head because it's thinning out and receding, and then a year later, can do the back, crown area. I asked if I should be taking Propecia or Minox, and they said 'No'. My hair is still falling out, and I said but it's still falling out, and they said, well then you come back and we do it again. Is this what you want to hear? I mean, I'm all for not taking anything because I don't really want to. But do most HT surgeons feel this way? Is Minox OK to start on a month before a procedure, or can newly translpanted hair growing through interfere with what the Minox may be trying to push out? Strange question I know, but it might happen? Spex, if you/re reading this, I sent you a PM about 6 weeks ago, Is there another way to get in touch with you regarding good surgeons in the London area? Senior Member KO Posted August 3, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted August 3, 2013 Oh dear. Let me just put it this way. If you're going to lose hair down the line, no matter if you do an HT or not, you'll need to take finasteride to protect that hair. Fin and HT are complementary rather than substitutes. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html
Regular Member TBH Posted August 5, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 5, 2013 and Minox wouldn't be enough after the HT to protect existing hair? The HT hair the surgeon said stays forever, Is that a lie too?
