Senior Member mmhce Posted July 22, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 22, 2009 Properly done,there should not be sufficient tension generated in the closure following excision of donor tissue to detrimentally constrict blood/oxygen supply to the hair follicles in the region around the donor zone. take care... The levels of collagen beneath the occipital ridge is different (lower I believe) and the tension of the closure is also different if donor follicles are harvested from here. I can't tell you if the tension is greater or not when compared to excision from on the occipital bump, for two scalps of the same given laxity. take care...
