Regular Member ytoday Posted March 22, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted March 22, 2009 I noticed that certain places like bosely recommend not going back to a normal shower habit(i.e letting the normal water pressure hit your head, and massaging implanted area) till after 14 days...compared to a lot of doctors here who say it's okay after 7-10 days...can someone clarify this for me? Bill - Seemiller
ytoday, It's a little hard to clarify since each clinic has their own postoperative instructions. Ultimately, it's best to follow the postoperative instructions of your physician. To see what I did, visit How Do I Wash My Hair After Hair Transplant Surgery? Regular Member ytoday Posted March 23, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 23, 2009 what about hair products that have alchohol and no alcohol touching the part that has been implanted?
Senior Member Eman Posted March 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2009 I personally stayed away from any products that had alcohol in it (on my head of course ), except for minoxidil which I didn't begin applying until the two week mark. Vitamin e oil and aloe was applied to soothe the area, but those were all natural as well. My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out... Senior Member Acrobaz Posted March 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2009 Don't make my mistake - I used aloe lotion for a day (which has alcohol in it) before realising I should be using aloe gel ... 17 Feb 09 - 3,200 FUs by strip surgery (Dr Feller) My Hair Loss Website
Regular Member ytoday Posted March 23, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 23, 2009 what about allowing the end of a brush to touch the scalp?
Senior Member Eman Posted March 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted March 23, 2009 I wouldn't touch the scalp with anything but the pads of my fingers, to wash the recipient site, for two weeks. Given the investment made, I wouldn't take any undue risk in that time period. My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out...
