  1. anyone else agree that the before and after pics are somewhat minimal in difference?
  2. At what point do i ask for a reimbursal? 2600 graft and in all honesty i see no impactful results. At the most what i do notice are very thin hairs and gaps of scarce hair. 2 years later and ive offically thrown in the towel. Depression sucks
  3. In all honesty, i see a very very minimal change for ~2300 graphs. Does anyone else disagree?
  4. was there ever an update regarding this case?
  5. Spirall, i would really really really recommend that you go see either Dr. Reed in San Diego or Meshkin in Newport.
  6. yes i did on numerous occasions. he never had an actual explanation as to why...all he kept bringing up is to wait and to use hair supplements to expedite the growing stage....thats all. i don't wanna say who the doctor is, but he's one that is recommended by this forum. he honestly has never gave me any proper solutions or reasons as to why the lack of growth....the only thing he did was recommend another procedure, which i went through in feb'10
  7. they were placed at the hairline and roughly and inch or two behind it. im currently 28 and taking propecia. What i don't get is that my hairline was ok when i initially went in, but since im assuming has receded further without any help from the surgeries. in other words the areas that were thin and receded about a month or more after the first procedure still look the same way up until now. my once wide hairline, is now shaping into a "V" sorta look. should i ask for my money back or i dunno? i don't know what else to say
  8. unforutnately the pictures that were taken didn't have my hair slicked back. the hair i had was covering the hairline area. regarding what i previously had written, i meant to say that i thought 1200 graphs would help rectifiy my issues...but unfortunately ive had to go back in again, and since my hairline has gotten worst. just generally speaking, if someone who gets 2600 graphs inserted only within the hairline area, shouldn't they be expect some obvious positive change??
  9. i unfortunately don't have any before pictures....i was under the assumption that things would never get to this point since i went in with a good hairline to begin with and didn't figure a mere 1200 graphs would fix my problem of a somewhat thinning hairline. things unfortunately have turned for the worst since. please, please take my word for it that my hairline as receded further after each procedure, without any sort of compensation stemming to each of the procedures. i think the fact that my corners have thinned further, and my forehead appearing wider is one obvious indication
  10. Ive yet to see a friggin noticeable positive sign or change within my hairline area. Sadly, my hairline is no where near as good as it was when i went this surgeon back in Mar'2009, and yet it's gotten worst after i had another procedure feb '2010. I really don't know how to approach this or what to really expect anymore. Btw, this was a dr recommended by this forum. And anytime i go to him with any frustrations, all the person mentions are medicinal supplements to help expedite the process...that's all. Any suggestion....please.
  11. can i ask one question.....initially my surgeon tol me that for the second procedure with him, he would use apprx 1500-1600 graphs....but i found out after the procedure that he actually used only 1350. would you consider something to be wrong with that?
  12. ive had a total of 5600 graphs inserted within the hairline region. 2600 with this current surgeon.
  13. im at 5 and half months. i don't wanna say who the doctor is, but ive yet to see or notice a positive change in my hair hairline after two procedures. ive tried to speak to my dr a bunch of times before this, but he never really has any answers outside of using rogaine and laser to expedite the process. he never has any actual reason why, he just keeps suggesting to not stress about it and blahblahblah....but at the end of the day im not seeing anything. my hairline is currently worst than it was at the day of the first procedure with him. can someone or dr help me out. id like to hear something else besides wait and us medication to expedite something that may never grow. i need better answers than those.
  14. maybe bc this forum and its members praised the doctor that i had gone to.
  15. btw, this is a southern cali dr that this forum recommended
  16. i recently had my 4th done with the same doctor that performed my 3rd, and im almost certain this one will be a failure just like the 3rd. can you guys please help me out and let me know how soon i can go in for my 5th. i honestly feel robbed of the last year and a half. i had 2600 graphs implanted in and within the hairlin region only(this was to only reinforce the nice hairline i use to have) and ive yet to see and feel and positive and noticeable results. that fact that i've had to keep altering the way i comb my hair has caused much anxiety and frustration to the point where its now begining to effect my job performance. in other words, my hairline that i had when i first went to go see this doctor, was much better than the one i have now. please help
  17. thanks, but that still doesn't answer my question. is it fair to say that if one doesn't see any sign of blistering or "obvious" redness that one shouldn't worry? In other words, i just wanna know exactly what i should expect to see or experience if i have exposed my recipient area to too much sun.
  18. so i went to a friends bbq today....it was about 5 pm in southern cali and the sun was setting plus it was a very cloudy day. i couldn't tell whether i was sitting under a shade that was due to the sun being blocked off by the distant mountain or if it was due to cloud cover. Regardless, i'm worried that if i was sitting under a cloud covered shade, that UV rays can still sneak through and effect my grafted area. After i went home, i checked the area that received the graphs, and i noticed nothing that would indicate any noticeable redness or anything obvious that would indicate sun exposure damage--it was the normal light pinkish hue that still covered parts of my scalp from my procedue about a month and a half ago. I just would like to know what is the first immediate sign someone would see/notice that would indicate that sun exposure has effected the recipient area. I'm real paranoid about this, and am quite unaware about the specifics regarding what the effected area would look like or experience when exposed to too much sun. PLEASE, PLEASE let me know
  19. one more question...what is the first indicationn or sympton that ones implanted area has begun to be effected by sun exposure? in other words, what would i first notice that would/might raise a flag?
  20. I'm very very curious ff my scalp, post procedure, is exposed to sunlight through a glass window, can this be bad for the implanted area? its perhaps for like an hour a day, but only through a glass window and a thin curtain.
  21. honestly at this point i'm fine with there being little growth, just as long as the final result will be something i'm happy with. I guess i might have to give it till early to mid november to start noticing density. blah, i guess we shall see
  22. thanks thana... i noticed that i experience my shockloss starting about two weeks after the procedure and it kinda slowly went another couple of month after. I do have a descent amount of hair, but it sucks b/c i kinda just wanted to reinforce the hairline i was content with, but i didn't expect to lose further b/c of the procedure. i've tried to remain strong, but its difficult. It seems that the growth takes longer and longer to kick in after each procedure
  23. another questions, will the hairline i had the day of the procedure(which was a lot better than it is now) grow back?
  24. so is this normal?....its been six months and i haven't seen any obvious results and plus the corners of my hairline have actually receded a bit and become thin(especially the front portion of my hairline has become thinner)....i'm worried and growing very impatient. btw,the doctor i went to is highly recommended by this forum which is the only thing keeping me somewhat patient
