Pre/Post op questions (what to buy)

Hello! As some of you are aware I am scheduled to see Dr. Doganay in a few weeks time and I have a few questions as to what to buy before.

 

I am having the operation on my second day in Turkey and I am then there for a further 12 days, so I will need to buy a few bits before I go, I was thinking I would need these things:

 

Biotin Spray OR Vitamin E Spray.

Neck Pillow.

Cotton Pads and aloe vera.

 

Is there anything I have missed that would be essential?

 

As it's going to be boiling out there, I plan to stay out of the sun for most of the day, but I will be wearing a hat (snapback) to shelter my head.

Copper peptide / graftcyte spray. Saline and gauze pads for bleeding if you lose a graft. Paper surgical "shower caps" to wear at night to protect grafts from scratching in your sleep. Needle and neosporin for pimples. Baby shampoo for washing hair.

Thanks for the list, I'll make sure to get the shower cap and Neosporin, but the others I'd have to order from America and probably wouldn't make it here in time. Cheers though .

anti-bacterial spray for the pillow/towel in the hotel. It is very important for the first 48hrs to minimise the risk of any infection, especially immediately after the bandage pad has been removed from the donor area.

You might consider a bandana instead of a hat. It breathes better and you can't accidentally bump the bill and rub the grafts.
