Regular Member moosehead Posted May 19, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted May 19, 2013 What does maturation timeline mean for hair transplants? For example, I have read in this forum that if you are at the 6 month mark, the results are only 40% matured. Does this mean that if 100 hairs are transplanted, then only 40 of these hairs would have grown at the 6 month mark? Here is the maturation timeline that I swiped from one of the posts (credit to Blake): 3 months: 10% maturation of implanted grafts 4 months: 20% 5 months: 30% 6 months: 40% 7 months: 50% 8 months: 60% 9 months: 70% 10 months: 80% 11 months: 90% 12 months: 100% maturation
Senior Member xtatic5 Posted May 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted May 20, 2013 I remember reading that at 6 months 70 percent of the hairs will have sprouted. At 10 to 12 months 100 percent of the hairs will have sprouted but will continue to thicken for up to an additional 6 months.
