Researchers Find a Link Between Hair Loss and Heart Disease?

Recently, researchers at the University of Tokyo state they have found a link between hair loss and heart disease. During a study of over 37,000 hair loss sufferers, the research team found a 32% increase in coronary artery disease (a precursor to dangerous angina and fatal heart attacks) in males suffering from androgenic alopecia.

These findings seem concerning, and may leave hair loss sufferers answering some important questions:

How clear is the link between hair loss and heart disease? Is hair loss a significant risk factor for heart disease, or are issues like smoking, obesity, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure still more detrimental to heart health? Finally, what are experts saying, and should balding individuals worry?
