Regular Member bmorelaxing Posted April 19, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted April 19, 2013 ok, so I heard the new generic brand of propecia is on the market. I remember reading a ealier post of how someone got it for around $20. I just renewed my prescription and went to CVS Pharmacy and they gave me Dr. Reddys Finasteride 1mg and it cost me $72! They said my insurance didn't cover it but wouldn't it still be cheaper anyways? I have Aetna as my health insurance provider and i'm looking for a cheaper way to get finasteride, should I go to a different Pharmacy? Can anyone recommend anything? Senior Member Calgacus Posted April 22, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 22, 2013 I must be the luckiest finasteride user in the world. I get prostacom. 10 pills at 5mg each pill. That's 40 days supply. $17. :-) Regimen: Finasteride (1.25mg): Daily. Minoxidil (5%): Twice Daily. Super Biotin (5000mcg) Vitamin Supplement; Daily Silica Complex; Daily

Senior Member Calgacus Posted April 24, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 24, 2013 How that working for you? Is it as potent as propecia? Having never used propecia, I have no point of reference for comparing the potency. I have my missus examine my hair frequently. After just 2 months, she tells me I have peach fuzz all over the crown/vertex region ....and even have some new thicker, darker hairs appearing in areas that were previously bald. I also use minoxidil and nizoral. So, I cant exactly attribute the current success to finasteride alone. Regimen: Finasteride (1.25mg): Daily. Minoxidil (5%): Twice Daily. Super Biotin (5000mcg) Vitamin Supplement; Daily Silica Complex; Daily
