Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted November 4, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted November 4, 2009 This fellow was aquainted with one of our techs and had had 1000 grafts in Pakistan 2 years ago. We had a couple of talks about his very thin hair shafts, and his tight scalp for which he did some scalp exercises a few weeks preop. His goal was to thicken up his previous work and he was pretty realistic about what we could expect to achieve with his donor hair. We took a very long strip and a width of 1.5cm, a bit narrower than our normal strip, was very snug on closing with a 2 layer tricho technique. He donor supply was however both not dense and consisted of fine, mostly singles; hence we got just over 2000 grafts. His post op pics are at day 6 and we'll see him again for a scar check around Thanksgiving. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H.
