Experience phasing out concealer?

Recommended Posts

My story is on my profile - now been relying for five years on Nanogen to completely hide diffuse hair and balding on top of my head. Looks good and I go a whole week with only a few extra applications. Look and feel good and by the weekend even feels packed down, natural and okay to touch or put a beanie on and off without any fear of disturbing concealer.

But cost to my love life, am paranoid about being busted and in particular the "powder on pillow" embarrassment that comes with sleeping with a new partner. Few experiences with new partners but generally the "sleeping on your arm" when in a partners bed is one of the most challenging and frustrating experiences known to man and limits desire for relationship.

Don't want to go on anymore so would like to phase out concealer and get back confidence in bed (and enjoy a proper relationship) however I run a business and have 50-100 people who all believe I have a thick head of hair. Has anyone figured out a regime to progressively phase out a concealer in the crown and give natural appearance of transition to balding?

I assume would require some real artistic talent with ability to expose and develop a bald spot but I can't wait much more than a year and would that be unusually quick? Losing it all immediately but moving to a new job to avoid attention not an option - director of a company in an industry where even competitors know each other and all very familiar with me :(

I'm no expert but a drastic change in style might work, possibly shave down quite short?? Or just something completely different and say the way you used to have it masked the problem better but you fancied a change! A haircut can make a huge difference in hiding or revealing hair loss!! Good luck with it!!
