Senior Member gillenator Posted March 22, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 22, 2013 Some sprout a little earlier, some later. Still sounds like new growth about to break above your scalp line. Hi Geneticfreak, First off ... YES ... always mention changes like this in your doctors visit. You may even want to give them a call. It is possible that you may have a more severe case of folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicle) that requires some minor medical treatment. You invested a lot emotionally and financailly in your hair restortation journey; see your physician. Regular Member BoomerSooner Posted March 25, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted March 25, 2013 I have the exact same thing and I am 9 1/2 weeks post op. I was told just to massage them firmly and it will bring the pus to the top. Senior Member michaeljames Posted March 29, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 29, 2013 I am only about 10 weeks post op Hello BoomerSooner; I viewed your progress images on your blog. Clearly there was some type of dermatitis present. Could you tell us is if that has resolved? Clearly at the 7 week level some professional attention was required. I think that sounds like ingrowing hairs to me? I suffer with them around the back of my neck and sometimes on my face - although in my case unrelated to my hair transplant
Regular Member BoomerSooner Posted March 29, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted March 29, 2013 I really don't know if it was dermatitis or not, or just red pimples. I actually had a break from those until last night, now I have two near my crown My hair loss blog http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2631
Senior Member gillenator Posted March 29, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 29, 2013 If this persists you may want to be examined by a dermatologist. Senior Member GreatPelo Posted April 13, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 13, 2013 Sounds like in-grown hairs..which is normal and actually a sign of growth. Follow up with your doctor to confirm and ask what he recommends...there are several options to take care of them.
