Regular Member AnybodyKnowsMe Posted March 11, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted March 11, 2013 According to pictures available elsewhere, other SMP providers have had success treating FUE scars, but has anyone discussed the ability to treat FUE scars with Milena Lardi using her temporary SMP technique? For instance, the HIS Hair Clinic specifically told me that FUE scars better "accept" the ink when additional pressure is added to area. Do the inks used by Milena Lardi work for FUE scars? Regular Member AnybodyKnowsMe Posted March 14, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 14, 2013 You state that with such certainty, yet where are the pictures of SMP coverage with Milena's pigments to adequately cover megasession FUE scars? I am talking about even coverage of the FUE scars throughout with no blotchiness, bleeding of the pigment out of the scar tissue and into the healthy surrounding tissue, etc. Where is the evidence? Regular Member AnybodyKnowsMe Posted March 31, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 31, 2013 I am shamelessly bumping my own thread so that Milena herself will hopefully answer my question since she is now posting on the forum!
Senior Member hairthere Posted April 2, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 2, 2013 I don't see why Milena's SMP wouldn't work on FUE scars. However, I do know she will test a strip scar first to make certain the pigment holds. The same is probably true for FUE scarring. I might talk to Milena today and will try to get an answer for you. Senior Member socates123 Posted April 2, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 2, 2013 Curious, why is there a need for SMP for FUE scars in the first place?

Regular Member fixstrip Posted April 12, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted April 12, 2013 I would think that in the case of FUE scars is where temp SMP would have the highest success rate.
Senior Member socates123 Posted April 12, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 12, 2013 Just to share I understand that FUE on FUT scars may not work since scar tissue may not have a good blood supply to support the grafts.

Senior Member hairthere Posted November 4, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) paleo, SMP, regardless if it's temp or permanent, is tricky with scarring. The tissue has been compromised and is therefore a bit unpredictable. This goes for both strip and FUE scars. (The ideal type of scar is flat and white.) I'd suggest having a test patch done first if possible. The cost will be minimal so there is very little risk involved. Regular Member Nocureforbaldness Posted November 14, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted November 14, 2015 I've had SMP from one of Milena's affiliates in the UK. I'm exceptionally happy with the result but the scar on my head didn't take the ink very well at all. That said, it's not a FUE scar but one from an accident as a child. Couldn't be happier aside from that though.
Senior Member NicH0le007 Posted November 24, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted November 24, 2015 We have had a lot of success camouflaging FUE scaring with the tricopigmentation technique. I have posted some photos. IME, with trico bleeding and migration are not so much the concern in scars as pigment retention. Because the pigment is injected so shallow the incidence of migration is much lower. Scar tissue is still tricky at any rate because it is not normal healthy tissue.
