Hair transplant

Nmarker,

Like most questions in medicine/surgery, the answer is: "it depends."

Patients are unique, and it's nearly impossible to create a "cut off" age and not allow any patient below this date to undergo surgical hair restoration. Some surgeons feel comfortable operating on younger patients who are dedicated to adjunct preventive therapies. Others believe this is dangerous, and doesn't take the progressive nature of hair loss into account.

Altogether, I'd say the consensus on minimum age for hair transplant surgery is probably age 25-26. Like I stated before, this will definitely vary and should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but 25-26 is a decent rough average.

Hi guys, Thanks for your valuable information. I recently went to the clinic (Seager Hair transplant) with my friend for enquiry and they said there are also other hair restoration options available. The doctor was so patient in answering us and said the hair loss may be due to different reasons like poor diet, chronic disease, climate changes. He gave a medicine to try out and if that work, then a transplant is not needed.
