He was back in for a checkup and at 6 months really is doing quite well. He'll be back in the summer for a final visit. As is typical, this fellow is in no rush, has plenty of surrounding hair, and is growing well at 6 months. If he were young, planning to get married in 8 months, and had no other hair around, "typically" he'd still be in the resting phase and not be seeing significant results yet.
