What stage is my hairloss?(29 yr old male)

hi just a quick intro

Im a 29 yr old male from the UK, have been losing my hair since 16 but have been doing an Ok job of concealing it by styling it in different ways .

I have come to the stage of hairloss where my dad and grandpa are and dont think I will lose much more going by their losses.

I have looked into HT's for a few years and think now is the time to go ahead and do it.

I have looked into numerous dr's and clinics across the pond and in the EU.

how many grafts would I be looking at getting

I am awaiting replies from a few clinics to see what they say but thought I'd post and ask on here too

I think you need 3500-4000 grafts for a dense result.

 

If you haven't done so already you should think about giving regaine and propecia a try. If you can successfully take these it will give you peace of mind post-HT that the hair behind it wont rapidly disappear.

 

I respect that your folks have similar hairloss pattern but it's better to play it safe in my book!

A dense look is definatley what Im after

I have tried minoxidil in the past and am using Alpecin at the moment

Is the Regaine the foam that you are using , an is Boots the best place to get it from

Boots is too pricey - about GBP70 for 3 tins. I get mine off ebay, the last time was 4 tins of US Rogaine Foam for about GBP45.

 

I use Alpecin and have done for about 5 years. I don't think it works at all though.
