Senior Member El Nino Posted June 17, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 17, 2009 Hi Michael, You should stop playing with your hair, this can cause it to thin. If you're suffereing from MPB then the three drugs you should use are Finasteride (Propecia), Minoxidil (Rogaine) and Nizoral Shampoo. Regular Member micky4567 Posted June 17, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 17, 2009 Thanks for that man. Damn your op when pretty good you look like you were never bald My dad went bald in the front but the difference between me and him was he never had thick hair like me and his dad had hair at 60. Time will tell i guess but should i really be using those 3 starting now? or wait a few months too see were it goes? Those 3 can't cause any losing hair right? Senior Member El Nino Posted June 17, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 17, 2009 Thanks micky. MPB is genetic and is a lottery. Your thinning could be caused by you playing with your hair. You could see a dermatologist for a diagnosis or wait and see if it progesses. IMO, if the hairloss is in an area where you haven't been twirling your hair then it is likely MPB. You should then use the drugs listed in my last post. They can cause shedding when first used but it is usually temporary and is a sign they are working. SimonBlackJack
Hey Michael...have you seen anyone for your thinning hair? I used a place called National Hair Centers here in Phoenix and I know they have affiliates around the US. You may not need the more drastic treatments, but man it felt good just to talk to professionals who deal with this every day. There are so many options for men who are losing their hair... check out their locations...maybe there's one close to you.

Senior Member El Nino Posted June 18, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 18, 2009 Not sure about in Oz, but here in the UK you can go to your Doctor and they will book you an appointment with a Dermatologist. Is the area of thinning the same spot you've been twirling your hair? Have you got a pic? My Hair Loss Website - Two HTs with Dr. Rahal and SMP at HIS Hair.
