Dr. Hasson/4015 Grafts/One Year/15 Months

Recommended Posts

This local patient came to see Dr. Hasson about having his hairline reconstructed but also asked for the top of his scalp to be thickened as much as possible. Dr. Hasson and his team transplanted 4015 grafts in one procedure for the result you see below which is 15 months post-op.

Nice one.

Joe, is the idea that if he loses any of his existing hair in the transplanted area as he ages, the transplanted hair will take its place and should provide adequae coverage?

Thanks

No.This is never the strategy as we cannot replace hair that hasn't fallen out yet. The hair that is placed is intended for one purpose and that is to add density to the existing amount of hair. In the future, if he loses the native hair that is present today, he will not be bald but rather he will have a thinning appearance as the transplanted hair will no longer have the native hair in between. I hope this makes sense. If you have more questions just let me know.
