Does anyone have any information on Dr Michael May at the West regent Street clinic in Glasgow?

 

The website has a dubious lack of gallery material and I get a bad vibe off of it but I'd like to get opinions before it get's put in the black books.

Mr Michael May has been around for ages, but unless there's been a dramatic improvement in his surgical technique, he's one to be avoided. Garageland has written about his experiences with him in the '90s:

Sadly, FUT and FUE in the UK still seems to be way behind the US, Canada and Belgium. The Farjo Clinic in Birmingham is probably the best, but I don't like their celeb hunting and they tend to be conservative with graft harvesting.

Thanks for the information. I didn't really get a good feeling off of the website and although that review didn't say anything bad about the results or technique I think I'll be staying clear.

Hi, good job you asked the question on here first!

 

I had surgery with Dr May in 1996 now it was a long time ago but I had 450 mini and micro grafts. The placement was poor and too low, pluggy and gappy, he also gave me a wide donor scar. I was also 23 at the time with miniturisation throughout and heading for a norwood 6. Interesting that he has now moved to Glasgow away from London.
