Senior Member SpaceBetween Posted March 16, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted March 16, 2009 2 questions! Sorry if this has been answered a million times. 1. When does Dr. Rahal suggest scrubbing off scabs? It seems like Rahal patients have scabs longer than most and that scares me for returning to work purposes. 2. What day is suture removal? I know docs usually range 7-10 days post op. Thanks guys Current Regimen: .5mg Fin ED Minox 2x daily Nizoral 1% 2-3 times a week Fish Oil capsules w/ Omega-

Senior Member Eman Posted March 16, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted March 16, 2009 Space- The fun crusts that stick around seemingly forever!?! Here is a post I had about them at my 15-day mark: http://hair-restoration-info.c...311025793#6311025793 Mine were all gone about a week or so after this post. In terms of suture removal, 14-days. My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out...
Regular Member Goldilocks Posted March 16, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2009 My experience with Dr. Rahal is similar to Eman's. It wasn't until I had the sutures removed on day 14 that he encouraged me to gently work on scrubbing the scabs the following day.
Regular Member chantal Posted March 16, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2009 Dr Rahal told me to stop using the Vitamin E and start scrubbing the scabs (on the donor area only) very gently AFTER the sutures were removed (13 days after surgery). I did not touch the recipient area at all for 30 days. I would not have gone back to work before then... with all that vitamin E dripping down my face!!!
