I'm Using Rogaine Foam In Frontal Third - Blow Drying?

I am using Rogaine foam in the frontal third right after I get out of the shower. Then I'm blow drying on a low setting to dry and style my hair.

Is this a problem? I don't want to hinder the effectiveness of the foam, but I don't want to wait for my hair to air dry, wet it again and then style it with a blowdryer.

I also dont want to dry it. Then add the foam and then wait for it to dry again.

Even though the foam absorbs quickly, I wouldn't recommend using the hair dryer so soon after.

How long should I wait, iyo?

windjc,

From Rogaine.com's FAQ section:

Can I blow-dry my hair after applying ROGAINE?® Extra Strength Solution?

Yes. It's fine to blow-dry your hair; however, we recommend using your dryer at a lower setting.

I still tend to agree with Maxxy, though. Give it a few minutes just to make sure it's being absorbed into the scalp and not evaporated by the blow-drying. In the past, users were advised to let the original formula dry naturally.

It's also still recommended to at least towel dry your hair before applying it.

Best,

Well, more specifically, I shower, towel dry. Add foam. Comb back. Brush teeth, shave, get ready for another 5 mintues. Then blow dry.

So thats about 5-7 minutes to dry in.

Long enough? icon_smile.gif

windjc,

Sounds good to me. icon_smile.gif

Make sure you're not combing the Rogaine out of your hair, though. If it's all over the teeth of the comb, you know it's not staying on your scalp where it needs to be.
