Senior Member Quiff01 Posted June 12, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 12, 2012 Hi All, Which doc would u say can get the best results with the least number of grafts? Im really only considering having some hairline work done as this is the only real effected area at the moment, Im 31 and the rest of my hair is still fine, crown etc fully intact. Im thinking of getting around 1000 grafts but want to go with the best doc for this and also the best priced. Any ideas? Also im based in the UK so travel will come into play slightly. Thanks. Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted June 12, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted June 12, 2012 Before you go for a bargain number of grafts to save money....consider that my philosophy is often: "hair is like sex and money...the more you have the happier you are". Now I say that with a bit of a smirk, but the bottom line is, particularly at the hairline, you need a lot of hair to make a natural appearing hairline. Don't skimp at the hairline. In a typical frontal case we spend 800-900 singles to get 4 rows of singles packed as tightly as possible along the hairline. Posterior to that things spread out progressively. Remember, you are not curing baldness....rather you are covering bald skin. Money is not your finite supply--even if you think it is. Rather its the limited donor hair you can harvest in the back of your head. Spend it wisely, but spend freely at the hairline. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted June 12, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted June 12, 2012 Better still if you can meet up with Spex in the UK that would be ideal as he helps me with all my UK patients.
