I plan on getting an HT soon, I would like opinions on whether you think I am a good candidate based on the attached pictures. I have recently started taking Propecia, but its too soon to tell if its working

It's hard to tell exactly, based solely on your pictures, since donor density, laxity of scalp, coarseness and curl of hair, etc. and age are also factors.

But based solely on your pictures, I would say that you could heading to a NW6, in which case you would need 6000 grafts.

take care...

mmhce:

Im 30, my hair is fine and straight, I was told by one HT doctor that I have good donor area and scalp laxity.

Do you mean 6K grafts total, or just for my first HT?

I would like to initially just have my hairline and frontal areas fixed, then in an additional HT touch up those areas for additional density and then address the crown.

Well, you look like a diffuse NW5 to me.

You have fine and straight hair, but decent hair to scalp contrast. My guess is similar mmhce - 5-6k grafts in total to achieve a good density all over the balding area.

The only ones that i know of who can do this in one session would be hasson and wong.

11/04-07 - 800-1600 ish grafts - danish clinic - poor results

12/02-08 - 2764 grafts - Dr. Devroye - good result but needs hairline density

03/12-10 - 1429 grafts - Dr. Mohmand - result pending
