Senior Member TC17 Posted December 31, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 31, 2009 3 sessions totaling just 2,400 grafts? I suppose the result is what is to be expected from so few grafts over such a large area, but why on earth would this man have to undergo three surgeries for only 2,400 grafts? Senior Member phil mascallpen Posted December 31, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 31, 2009 Dr. Feinberg, did this patient undergo 3 strip surgeries? If so how many grafts each and how much time was between the surgeries? Thank you.
Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted December 31, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 31, 2009 From what I have seen over time, Dr. Feinberg's sessions are ~1k. I believe his HTN profile mentions his philosophy and what he limits his sessions too. Certainly here, 800 FU's were averaged across 3 strip surgeries, which is pretty rare from what we typically see, and the mega-session approach embraced by the Coalition docs who frequently post. I've asked Dr. Feinberg questions in the past with no response, so I'm not sure if he comes back to these threads or not. But I'd be curious to know more about his transplantation philosophy, re: session sizing, and where his stands today. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash. Follicles have asked for centuries, in ten languages, as many times so as to confuse a mathematician. Enough is enough! Give me documentation or give me death!
