huzaifamf Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Hi everyone, First time posting. I have thinning hair, but I shave my head, so at this point I don't know if I am completely bald, or have little hair left lol. I was talking to a friend who I saw has all of his hair back! I asked him what it was, and he gave me the number to Alexis Hair experts. Apparently they do something called a 'Single Strand Hair Insertion'. Not finding any reviews on it, but apparently worked well for him. Does anyone have any experience with this procedure? apparently its non-surgical. Also, is this procedure considered to be a 'hair system' (ie. advanced wigs)? What are your general experiences with non-surgical hair restoration? btw, its in Toronto, Canada. Thanks.
Senior Member Dutch Posted February 24, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 24, 2012 Hello. Sounds like a wig. If you are not after that, then you need to consider taking medication- propecia and minoxidil foam, and perhaps later consider a surgical procedure if this is what you want. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329
huzaifamf Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 but are these wigs popular? are they really that good?
Senior Member trapps99 Posted February 27, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 27, 2012 definately a hair system...i think everything other than a transplant is...just a different name or marketing tool... They just insert the hairs one at a time into the membrane that glues to your head.......
Senior Member trapps99 Posted February 27, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 27, 2012 BTW...if you like yur head shaved......KEEP IT!!!! every other option is a long painful pain the the ass process.....hair systems are los and lots of hassle.....shaved heads these days are stylish and in fashion...
huzaifamf Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 Thanks for the replies, and advice. I might just stick to my shaved head for now...at least this stem cell hair restoration comes into full swing. I heard Histogen is something to look out for?
