Senior Member fakeplstctrees Posted January 4, 2012 Senior Member Posted January 4, 2012 I consulted with my doctor, and he thinks that 1,000 properly placed grafts will solve my density issue. I am excited to go ahead with this, and have a head of hair I can be proud of. My only concern is, I have been on finasteride since September, and think I am thinner as a result. Am I alright to go ahead with my second procedure, or should I wait for the full results of the finasteride? This could all be in my head of course. Thanks guys. 2/14/2011 Surgery #1 Dr. Ivan Cohen - 1539 grafts, 1's - 475 2's - 989 3's - 75 2/20/2012 Surgery #2 Dr. Carlos Wesley - 2570 grafts
Senior Member Cant decide Posted January 4, 2012 Senior Member Posted January 4, 2012 You may be thinner due to shedding, etc but that is a good sign as it is likely working and should thicken up. To be honest, I would wait another 6 months for the finasteride to really do its thing because it may turn out you dont need the 1000 grafts after all. 1000 is not allot and you may be able to easily make up for it and then some with the Finasteride. I was on finasteride for 6 months before it kicked in and began working.
