Hair Transplant and Propecia

I haven't tolerated Propecia well in the past (due to side effects), and so I don't ever plan on being on it long term. However, I have a hair transplant coming up, and was wondering if it made sense to go on it temporarily, just to minimize the chance of shock loss in months 1-3. If so, how long would I need to start it before the surgery?

If you're experiencing the side effects then don't use it, you can use minoxidil (rogaine foam)instead. Also if you were to start either of those medications you should expect to see increased shedding between 2-4 months, which is temporary so don't be alarmed when that happens, it will come back and become healthier.
