Regular Member DoctorWho Posted October 21, 2011 Regular Member Posted October 21, 2011 per my clinic advice, i was told to apply rogaine to my recipient area after two weeks post op to speed up the growth process. what is your opinion on this. does it really work, and if so, do i need to apply this for the rest of my life (recipient area)?
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted October 21, 2011 Senior Member Posted October 21, 2011 DoctorWho, Some doctors do believe that applying Rogaine a couple of weeks after surgery can expedite hair growth. My doctor recommended the same tactic and opted to do it as I felt it could do no harm and it may help. If you choose to apply Rogaine to your recipient areas, you do not have to do so forever. For more information on this topic I suggest reading this brief article by Dr. Robert True from our Hair Loss Q&A Blog: Can Rogaine Speed up Hair Transplant Growth?
