Regular Member WheredItGo2 Posted July 25, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted July 25, 2011 Hey guys I recently shaved my hair and as I was feeling around my hair with my hand I noticed a very small thinning spot in my crown area, but it doesn't spread out or seem to be anywhere else on my head, is this the early sign of crown thinning to come, anyone else have this experience? Senior Member mattj Posted July 25, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted July 25, 2011 It's impossible to tell without a photo. Can you see it as well as feel it? Is it right in the centre of the 'whorl' pattern? With new haircuts can come new perspectives. If you've never shaved your head before (or not for a long time) then you might be noticing something that was always there. There's nearly always a noticeable drop in density right in the middle of the 'whorl' as the hairs spread out in different directions. I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal.
