Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted July 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted July 12, 2011 This is something your cardiologist should know about, and have he or she speak with your hair transplant surgeon so they know which medication they are prescribing and what else they'll be using on the day of the procedure. People with that condition have had the procedure without issue. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own. Regular Member rich91403 Posted July 14, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted July 14, 2011 There are varying degrees of MVP. The safe thing to do is to call your cardiologist and ask him to touch base with your hair transplant physician. The two doctors can discuss the procedure/ medications utilized and the potential aggravation of symptoms of your particular situation. Generally speaking, MVP should not be a contraindication to a hair transplant. It is a very common and usually benign condition but ALWAYS consult the medical professionals involved. Best of Health!
