Gleb
So just as a background, I just got back from a long, long camping trip, so I hadn't showered in a while. Anyways, I've been running my hand through my hair and I notice a fair few hairs come out when I do. I don't mean a TON, but like 5 - 10 hairs the first few times, then gets to 2/3. I haven't really noticed hair falling out like that before, so I'm a bit worried. Could this just be because the hair wasn't getting washed out from a shower, and/or the hair was more oily thus stayed more? Thanks!
Senior Member Levrais Posted June 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 12, 2011 That sounds like that amount of hair is just thenones that would have washed out had you been showering every day. 5700 FUE in 3 procedures with Dr. Bisanga View my patient website: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1874
Senior Member MusoInOz Posted June 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 12, 2011 I wouldn't worry too much mate, pretty standard if you have not showered for days and/or brushed your hair it is bound to shed ever so slightly. I use to worry about the exact same thing years ago. If you start noticing a trend with it even after you have washed and brushed then look further into it. Regular Member Trichologist Posted June 13, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted June 13, 2011 Yeah that would be pretty normal, but if you do notice ongoing problems consult your doctor just in case.
Senior Member Tonycc Posted June 13, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 13, 2011 Does your family have a history of hair loss? If so, when did they start noticing a problem? Your situation doesn't seem like a need for concern, but family patterns might be worth thinking about.
