Senior Member mattj Posted June 3, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 3, 2011 I was reading the paper at lunch today and saw an article for a serum which reduces hair. Apparently it puts hair into the resting phase. The longer the follicle is kept in a resting stage, the less hair will grow, so the more the serum is used the weaker and less dense hair becomes. The gel that slows hair growth and lets men shave every THREE WEEKS | Mail Online It sounds like it might cause miniaturization. As someone with an excess of body hair (I'm sure someone is pumping 15% Rogaine into my shower appliance) it caught my interest, but the obvious worry is that it could have a systemic effect that could harm scalp hair. Obviously that risk would be unacceptable to any user, but I have to wonder if those experiencing hairloss are at risk where others are not. I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal. Senior Member Dutch Posted June 3, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 3, 2011 Problem with posting this, is that now you'll have an army of men ordering it to use on their genitals & bums http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329

Regular Member feelzgood Posted June 5, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted June 5, 2011 I copy and paste qoute from a doctor - got 8 thumbs up. "I dont believe a single word of this. Im a doctor and I know that the only thing that can really slow down hair and facial hair growth is old age, due to the changed hormonal state. So if this creme really prevent or slow down hair growth, then it must have some hormone in it, and should be really available on prescription only.Having said that, I would not prescribe this creme to any patient. Safer to just carry on removing unwanted hair by shaving, waxing etc." - A.R. McAllister, California, USA, 03/6/2011 20:
